Pilkington K Glass™ forms the inner pane of an energy-efficient double glazed unit, such as Pilkington energiKare™. The coating reflects heat back into the room whilst also letting in free heat from the sun, known as passive solar gain.

Pilkington energiKare ™ does exactly that by reflecting heat back into the conservatory while transmitting solar energy. On the other hand, south-facing roofs are better served with units designed to reflect heat away from the conservatory, such as the Pilkington Activ ™ or Pilkington Activ SunShade ™ range.
