A Pilkington energiKare™ unit is a combination of a product from either our low-emissivity glass range: Pilkington K Glass ™ or Pilkington Optitherm ™ combined with Pilkington Optiwhite ™ low-iron glass or Pilkington Optifloat ™ in a double glazed or triple glazed unit.

Pilkington energiKare™ does exactly that by reflecting heat back into the conservatory while transmitting solar energy. On the other hand, south-facing roofs are better served with units designed to reflect heat away from the conservatory, such as the Pilkington Activ ™ or Pilkington Activ SunShade ™ range.

Pilkington energiKare™ is the name given to our range of double and triple glazing used to improve the thermal efficiency of homes. It reduces the amount of heat lost through your windows and can also allow more heat energy from the sun in through the glass.

Pilkington K Glass™ forms the inner pane of an energy-efficient double glazed unit, such as Pilkington energiKare™. The coating reflects heat back into the room whilst also letting in free heat from the sun, known as passive solar gain.
