    Pilkington Planar™ provides The Catalyst Museum with ‘high-performance’ glass

    Thanks to a £40,000 grant from the Foyle Foundation and a £38,000 Biffa Award, The Catalyst Museum in Widnes was able to replace all the glass in its fourth floor observatory with Pilkington Planar™.

    The Catalyst Museum is an interactive science centre devoted to chemistry and how the products of chemistry are used in everyday life. It currently offers family and group visits as well as educational tours.

    Pilkington Optilam™ helps Waverley Station in £130m Refurbishment

    As part of Network Rails five year plan to overhaul Britain’s railway stations, an investment of £130m was outlined to improve Scotland’s Waverley Station.

    As part of the work, the station concourse was resurfaced, station furniture was cleaned, removed and replaced and the exterior station building was renovated and refreshed – as well as improved access to Market Street and from Princess Street.
