This month we visit Galway in Ireland where Pilkington Pyrostop™ has been used by the Office of Public Works to protect the city’s Marine Institute to ensure that the glass gives maximum safety and fire resistance throughout the complex.

Paul Connaughton, from installer Greaney Glass Products Ltd, said: “We worked closely with the Office of Public Works on the fire resistant glass for the Galway Marine Institute. The building is fantastic and looks over Galway Bay. Pilkington Pyrostop™ was used in the larger areas to ensure maximum safety for this important building.”

Our Fantasy Football game has been going great guns recently and just like the Premiership the league has been blown wide-open. Teams who have been jostling for the top position include My Griffins, Premier Allstars, Anstey Allstars and We’re Not From London Uno.

Liverpool supporter, Ian Marsden from St Helens is the latest winner of the manager of the month award and now has £300 worth of Marriott Hotel vouchers to spend on a weekend away.  Ian, who works in website development at Pilkington, says Kopacobana’s upturn in fortune is down to Liverpool’s return to form in December.

The day we spent meeting the Specifier press with Mike Wood at the end of November is showing some great results. The first feature has already appeared in the press, and we have secured 10 more features which will appear in the glazing, building and architectural press over the coming months.
