The first Pilkington energiKare™ TV advertising campaign finished on 12th April and we were back again the following week appearing in 3.8 million copies of local papers. Newspapers across the UK carried our Featurelink campaign where a half page advert is supported by a half page of editorial. This enabled us to advise on where to buy Pilkington energiKare™ as well as highlighting its benefits to the planet and energy saving tips for the home. The whole campaign has been a tremendous success with awareness up and more than a thousand homeowners visiting our Partners websites to find a local supplier! 

The TV campaign and press articles highlighted to homeowners that by installing windows incorporating Pilkington energiKare™ energy efficient glazing they can reduce carbon dioxide emissions from their home and save money on their fuel bills. The all important call to action was to visit our website to find our local Pilkington energiKare™ partner. More than 70 of our Partners advertised alongside us having specified the paper they regularly advertise in to be part of our campaign.

David Stoker reminds us that: “Pilkington energiKare™ is much more than an IGU and it is imperative that we get this message across to potential partners, from window companies to IGU Manufacturers. By offering Pilkington energiKare™ window companies can add value to their windows by offering their customers a product with the backing of a recognised brand, and a full and comprehensive advertising campaign, technical advice and marketing support.”

We'll be publicising our research results which are hot of the press this week; 67% of home owning adults, a massive 17.5 million of them have heard of energy efficient windows - that's a 20% increase on September of last year! Over the same period we find that awareness of Pilkington energiKare™ has increased from 18% to 47%. That is a 29% increase and means that 12.1 home owning adults are aware of our brand name!

During the campaign nearly 8000 people visited the Pilkington energiKare™ website viewing tens of thousands of pages, downloading our brochure and most importantly using our supplier finder resulting in more than 1500 clicks through to our Partner's websites with valuable sales leads. We'll be contacting all our partners in the next couple of weeks to update them and ask them how things are progressing for them.

In the meantime our Trade promotion will continue. Our new advertising campaign highlighting the benefits of getting involved with Pilkington energiKare™ starts on 1st May in Glass Times and will appear in glass trade, house builder and local authority journals. The first featuring the bird's nest confirms the range of window types which would benefit from Pilkington energiKare™.  We're also producing new point of sale materials for customers to use including posters and a DVD - more details when they are available next month.
