| Pilkington Activ™ Update | | Supported by the TV campaign, the Pilkington Activ™ website has again seen the number of visitors increase since last month, with a 21% improvement in February. The number of people logging on was a whopping 51% higher than February 2006 and the highest to date, while new visitors made up 89% of the total 9,714 figure. | | read more |

| Conservatory Design Competition Success |  | | Pilkington played a part at Glassex 2007 this year as sponsor of the prestigious Conservatory Design Competition. The competition was declared a resounding success by visitors and entrants with the level of entries of particularly high calibre this year. There were 21 awards overall, and the following companies SJM Ltd , Tradeplus, Franklin Conservatories, Payne Windows, MC Glass were awarded a “Special Merit Award”, by Pilkington Activ™ in the specific categories outlined below. | | read more |

| Pilkington Takes a Front Row Seat at His Majesty's Theatre | | The 100-year-old His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen has just received a major facelift and has benefited from the installation of a 250m2 double-glazed Pilkington Planar™ system. The imposing façade of the foyer wraps around the building following the line of the adjoining corridor to the new rehearsal area, which allows the public to see the artists at work. | | read more |

| On Show at Glassex |  | | The Pilkington Activ™ team were present in force at the show this year. Visitors to the stand were treated to a viewing of the current TV adverts featuring a shopping channel with unlikely items for sale! Also at the exhibition Marketing Director, Matt Buckley, undertook a series of interviews with trade press editors. He updated the press on our plans for the year, gave his thoughts on current industry issues and explained the latest Pilkington Activ™ developments and the impact it’s having on product sales. Andy McDowell, Float and Coated Product Manager, presented ‘Pilkington Solutions for Energy Rated Windows’ as part of the seminar programme. | | read more |

| CE Marking Update | | Ist March 2007 was a significant date for Phase 2 of CE Marking. Standards relating to laminated glass, clear fire protection products , insulating glass units and heat soaked toughened glass became mandatory. Procedures now need to meet the requirements of relevant harmonised European Norms (hENs). The good news is that, as with the Phase 1 products, Pilkington is able to declare that all our products which need to conform to the relevant standards are CE Marked. | | read more |

| Brownhills take the Advantage |  | This month we spotlight a large project in Stafford incorporating Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ supplied by Brownhills Glass. The company is renowned for its expertise and technical advice, which was put into practice when it supplied Wolverhampton-based customer, Kelly’s Glass, with approximately 400m2 of toughened 4mm Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ Grey for processing into insulating glass units for the office of David Beckett Building Design – allowing users stunning views over the lake and grounds in which it sits. | | read more |

| United in Victory | | Manchester United season ticket holder David Offland is the winner of February’s Manager of the Month award. | Pilkington in the Press |  | Yet another busy month in the press for us; with the build up to Glassex and our sponsorship of the Conservatory Design Competition dominating the news pages. A number of titles including Windows Active, Glass and Glazing Products and Glass Times previewed our stand and the success of the Pilkington Activ™ adverts. The product also generated a great deal of coverage in the home interest press including House Beautiful, Your Home and Ideal home and an exciting new competition to win a conservatory was announced by Pilkington and Synseal in partnership with BBC Good Homes.

| Web Update | The main focus this month was assigned to two areas of the website. Firstly, an in depth review of the Pilkington Planar™ pages was initiated and changes to both the look and content have begun and will continue over the next few weeks.
