Keeping Heat Inside

Low emissivity' (low-E) glass is designed to reflect heat back into a room, maximizing the use of the available heat from the sun. Having low-E glass in your sunroom enables you to save on your heating bills by using less heat to keep your sunroom warm. In comparison ordinary glass offers poor insulation.

These unique properties keep your conservatory warmer, meaning you can run your heating system for a shorter period and still remain just as comfortable.

Pilkington Energy Advantage™ will typically keep an unheated sunroom comfortable for a greater part of the year than ordinary double glazing, allowing you to make the most of your conservatory all year round.

Pilkington Energy Advantage™ prevents heat escaping through the window than ordinary glass. Its special energy saving coating lets the sun's rays through, but reflects warmth back into the home.

It can therefore be combined with other glass types in a unit to enhance the functionality of your sunroom, such as Pilkington Activ™ self-cleaning glass.
