Pilkington Optitherm™ S4

Overview

Pilkington Optitherm™ S4 is an ultra low emissivity, high thermal insulating off-line coated glass. 

The effect of the low emissivity coating is to reflect heat energy back into the building. The transparent coating also transmits heat from the sun and provides high light transmission to create a naturally lit, comfortable working environment.

Pilkington Optitherm™ S4 is only available for use in Pilkington Insulating Glass Units such as Pilkington Insulight™ Therm. 

The range combines good thermal insulation with excellent neutrality. It can be supplied in toughened or laminated form for safety and security applications and has an outstanding U value of just 1.2 W/m2K, also providing very high light transmittance and low reflectance to give a neutral appearance. So you can create aesthetically pleasing environments using less energy.

  – 6.4mm Pilkington Optilam™ Therm S4 laminated glass for incorporation into an insulating glass unit.

Product Combinations

Pilkington Optitherm™ S4 can be used to enhance thermal performance in Insulating Glass Units in conjunction with; Pilkington Activ™ Blue or Neutral self-cleaning glass, Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint, Pilkington Arctic Blue™ and Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ for solar control and Pilkington Optiwhite™ low iron glass.
