Pilkington Activ™ Clear self-cleaning glass was used in this residence in Adelaide, Australia.

Pilkington Activ™ Clear uses UV energy from the sun, abundant even on cloudy, overcast days, to keep windows clean naturally.  A photocatalytic process that loosens dirt and gradually breaks down organic residue so it doesn't adhere to the glass.  A hydrphilic action causes water to sheet rather than spot, as it does on ordinary glass.
