Electricity market reforms announced

On Tuesday 12th July Chris Huhne, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, made a statement on the reform of the electricity market and the need to secure the country's electricity supplies.

Reforms include the introduction of a new contracting framework for capacity, which will change the way back-up electricity is secured.
