Pilkington Optifloat™

Pilkington Optifloat™ ist das Basisglas der Pilkington-Gruppe. Es wird an vielen Standorten (u. a. in Deutschland in je zwei Anlagen in Gladbeck und Weiherhammer) nach dem von Pilkington in den 50er-Jahren in England erfundenen und vielfach lizenzierten Floatglasverfahren hergestellt.

Pilkington Optifloat™ bietet Möglichkeiten der Weiterverarbeitung (Beschichtung, Farbemaillierungen, thermische Vorspannung, Laminierung) und -bearbeitung (Kantenbearbeitung, Ausschnitte, Bohrungen, Modellscheiben) sowie eine breite Palette an Farben, wobei die Farbtiefe von der Glasdicke abhängig ist.
